Delete your Kommonz account
You can request deletion of your Kommonz account and associated personal data in the current iOS and Android apps, or by email. The email route does not require sign-in or an installed app. Both routes cover your account across web, iOS and Android.
Request deletion in the app
- On iOS, open You → Privacy & help → Delete account. On Android, open You → Privacy & account. If you have no workspace or your membership is pending, open Privacy & account from that screen, then find Delete account.
- Choose Request account deletion and confirm the request.
- The app shows a receipt and the request's status. Our team processes the request and emails you about its outcome. Submitting a request does not erase the account immediately or sign you out.
We aim to complete requests within 30 days, subject to the verification and lawful retention requirements below. If your app does not show this control, update it or use email.
Request deletion by email
- Email justin@kommonz.com with the subject Delete my Kommonz account.
- Send it from your account email if you can. Include the account email and the name of any coworking spaces you use. Never include your password, payment details or door credential.
- We will verify that the request is yours, explain any records that must be retained, and coordinate records controlled by your space operator. If you no longer have access to your email, tell us so we can discuss another verification method.
The email link opens your email app; it does not send a request automatically. You can also copy the address and send an email from any email service. Requests from either route are handled by our team.
What the request covers
Ask us to close the account and erase its associated personal data, including profile information and data used only to provide that account. We will assess removal or anonymization of related content and activity, and direct operator-controlled membership, booking and community records to the responsible space. Tell us if you want to erase particular data while keeping the account.
Deletion ends access to the account and its member features. It does not automatically cancel a separate membership, future booking, subscription or unpaid invoice. Please arrange those with your space operator; doing so is not a prerequisite to making a privacy request.
Records that may remain
Invoices and transaction records may have to remain for accounting obligations, generally seven years where Estonian accounting law applies. Limited records may also be needed for outstanding transactions, fraud prevention, legal claims or other legal obligations. We will explain relevant exceptions in our response. Your operator may have its own lawful retention duties.
Door-access event history has a 90-day retention period. Backup copies expire through rotation rather than being immediately rewritten; monthly copies can remain for up to six months. Retained records are limited to their continuing purpose. See our privacy policy for more details.
When you will hear from us
We respond within the applicable legal deadline, normally one month under the GDPR. Verification or a complex request may require further information or a permitted extension, which we will explain. We will confirm the outcome and any information retained; this page does not promise immediate or automatic erasure of every record.
